Instructions

See the Software Requirements table below. Both PERL and Java are required for adding new models.

Tk/TCL is optional but required to use the Block Code Generation tool.

Download Capsim V6 for Windows using the MSYS/MINGW environment here. For Windows 7 or Vista use thisself extracting link. Make sure you install into the C drive.

Download the MSYS/MINGW environment setup for Capsim development here. Note install the directory into the C Drive.

First install MSYS/MINGW by clicking on msysdev.exe or msysins.exe and follow the instructions to install into the C file.

A new folder will be created on the C: drive named MSYSDEV. The shortcut to the MSYS console is in the folder c:\msysdev\msysdev

After installing MSYS, install Capsim by clicking on capsim.exe. Select the C drive. Capsim will be be installed in the folder C:\CAPSIM\CAPSIM_V6

To run Capsim you do not need a license key.

Recommended to Install Capsim and MSYS in C Drive. Otherwise change the environment variable for CAPSIM in MSYS after installation.

 

License Key File

Capsim no longer uses License Management.
